Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Promptly iOS app or the usepromptly.app website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Promptly.

2. What Promptly Is

Promptly is an AI-assisted short-form video editor for iOS. You upload your own talking-head footage and describe the style you want; the service produces a polished vertical edit ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.

3. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Promptly. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@usepromptly.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Free and Paid Plans

Promptly offers a free tier (3 renders/day, 50 AI chat messages/day) and a Pro subscription. Pro unlocks unlimited renders, unlimited chat messages, the Re-edit feature, and priority queue placement.

Pro Monthly: $19.99 USD per month, auto-renewing.

Pro Yearly: $199.99 USD per year, auto-renewing.

Both plans include a 3-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Prices in other currencies are set by Apple based on local market rates.

5. Subscription Terms (Apple-Compliant)

All Promptly Pro subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed by Apple's StoreKit. By starting a free trial or purchase, you authorize Apple to charge the payment method on your Apple ID at the price stated above.

• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Free trial conversion: If you do not cancel during the 3-day free trial, your subscription begins at the listed monthly or yearly price.
• Managing or cancelling: Open iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Promptly. Cancellation stops the next renewal but you keep Pro access until the end of the current period.
• Refunds: Refunds are processed by Apple, not Promptly. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Your Content

You retain all ownership of the videos you upload and the renders Promptly creates from them. We do not claim copyright over your work and we do not use your footage to train AI models. You grant Promptly a limited license to store, process, and deliver your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (e.g., running the render pipeline and streaming the result back to your device).

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload content that infringes copyright, violates someone's privacy, depicts minors in unsafe situations, contains illegal material, or otherwise violates applicable law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Promptly to create deceptive deepfakes, harassment material, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or content that promotes violence or self-harm
• Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to bypass usage limits
• Resell, sublicense, or rent the service to third parties
• Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Service Availability

Promptly is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Render times and quality may vary based on input footage, server load, and AI model availability. We may add, remove, or change features at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Promptly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using Promptly at any time by deleting the app. To permanently delete your account and data, email support@usepromptly.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or use the service in ways that harm Promptly or its users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Promptly after the change means you accept the updated terms.
